Prenatal Lactation Consult

A prenatal lactation consult gives you something every new parent craves: a clear, realistic feeding roadmap before your baby arrives. During this 1:1 visit, we walk through what to expect in the first hours and days, how milk production really works, and what a deep, comfortable latch looks and feels like.

You leave with practical, written feeding plans for those early weeks, personalized to your health history, birth preferences, and support system-not generic advice from a class handout. We talk about breastfeeding, pumping and bottle options, and how to protect your mental health while caring for your baby.

This is a calm space to ask every "Is this normal?" question, discuss previous feeding experiences, or prepare for twins or a medically complex pregnancy. I draw on my background as an RN and IBCLC to flag issues early and share evidence-informed strategies you can trust. Many families tell me they feel less afraid of the unknown and more ready to advocate for themselves in the hospital and at home.
